I have an ShamWow super absorbent towel and have used it several times. So, here is a customer review and report of ShamWow.
Let us now review each of these claims one by one.
ShamWow is a Towel and a Sponge
Yes, ShamWow is in fact, a towel and a sponge combined. The fabric is different from normal towels or rags. Some absorbent fabric is used to make this towel. It doesn’t works like a miracle but is surely works better than normal rag.
What I have noticed is that you need to wash them occasionally in dawn dish soap with warm water. This keeps the fabric in better condition and it absorbs better.
Rubbing the towel against a coarse surfaces like carpet or wood or concrete or tires or car exterior moldings will promote wearing of the fabric and decrease its life.
ShamWow Easily Removes Cola, Wine and Pet Stains
Yes it does. ShamWow removes cola, wine and pet stains better than most alternative of fabric available in the market. Again, it works good but not the best.
ShamWow is Good for all – Men, Women and Children
Yes, it is – men women and children, all can use this towel and any other normal towel. I don’t see anything special about this claim.
ShamWow Washes, Dries, and Polishes any Surface.
Yes, ShamWow washes, dries and polishes most surface, if not all.
ShamWow won’t Scratch any Surface
I agree to this claim provided that you use the fabric smoothly and gently over tender surfaces.
ShamWow is Machine Washable and Bleachable
Yes it is. You can wash the fabric in a washing machine, dry it in a clothes dryer and even bleach it.
Holds 12X (12 Times) its Weight in Liquid.
I never did all the mathematical calculations but from my experience, it surely holds at least 7 to 9 times its weight in liquid.
